Basically, Winyl is a simple and lightweight audio player with some interesting extra features. The program allows you to organize your music collection and create playlists from it. Besides, this tool offers you access to six online radio stations for you to listen to hundreds of music genres. All of that come within a simple, compact, and intuitive user interface.
The first time you launch the program, it runs a sort of wizard that allows you to add one or more folders containing your music files. However, you can add new music files or folders ─ or even new radio stations ─ to your collection at any time. As soon as you add new music files, the program organizes them automatically, so that you can view them classified by album, artist, year, genre, and folder right away and start creating your custom playlists. Moreover, the program allows you to rate your songs, so that you can access your favorite ones in the blink of an eye.
Among the most interesting features of this program are the so called "smartlists". These are automatic playlists consisting of 50 random songs, 5 random albums, your most recently played songs, the 25 most played tracks, the 25 top rated songs, or music from the 90's. I also have to mention that this program supports playing files in all popular audio formats, such as MP3, WMA, Ogg, AAC, M4A, and others. Winyl offers you a compact view mode and includes a helpful optional equalizer. more
